What’s included
- Mailboxes (Inbox, Starred, Sent, Drafts, Archive, Spam, Trash) and colored labels, with unread counts that roll.
- Three panes you can resize, remembered in the browser; on phones, one pane at a time sliding in the direction you go.
- Multi-select with Shift-click ranges and a bulk bar: archive, delete, mark read, label, move. Archive and delete slide away with an Undo that puts them back where they were.
- Threads with earlier messages folded, quoted text tucked away, attachments, and Reply, Reply all and Forward in place.
- New messages in panels that stack and minimize, with recipients checked before sending, rich text, attachments and a “Saved” note as you write; full screen on phones.

Accessibility
- The conversation list is one Tab stop; arrow keys move within it and Enter opens.
- Each conversation is a labeled region; unread ones say so before the sender.
- New mail is announced politely; archiving and deleting say what happened and offer Undo.
- With reduced motion, rows and panes change without sliding.
